The in-store systems questions in the 2014 Retail Tech Spending Survey focused on rapidly evolving technologies. The traditional POS is morphing into the mobile POS and hybrid systems that leverage both mobility and the traditional cashwrap. This is where the majority of associate-customer interaction takes place, so it is no wonder that it is a significant part of where retailers are investing.
